Role:
As an Event Planner, you will play a pivotal role in creating exceptional workshop experiences for our diverse audience as well as for our internal and external speakers and team. You will be responsible for planning, coordinating, and executing a variety of activities to ensure the events run smoothly.
Responsibilities:
- Develop a complete understanding of the requirements for every event
- Handle day-to-day administration of events and programs, including order placements, BEO reviews, vendor monitoring, travel planning, restaurant reservations, attendee participation, registration counts, RSVP tracking, and issues resolution
- Assisting at on-site events, including coordination with secondary vendors, room counts, signage coordination, and other related duties
- Partner with the team to conceptualize, plan, and execute engaging workshops from start to finish.
- Oversee guest communication once a ticket has been purchased in collaboration with the marketing team as well as post event.
- Research, source, and collaborate with vendors to ensure timely delivery of services and materials.
- Work closely with subject matter experts to create compelling workshop agendas.
- Oversee the registration process, manage attendee databases, and provide excellent customer service.
- Lead on-site coordination, handling any issues that may arise to ensure a smooth event.
- Manage event budgets, track expenses, and identify cost-saving opportunities.
Results:
- Execute workshops that consistently receive positive feedback, high net promoter scores, and high attendee satisfaction
- Create a similarly positive experience for speakers/presenters.
- 20-30% of attendees are looking to partner with us in more ways as a result of coming to the event.
- Timely submission of post-event reports with key metrics, lessons learned, and recommendations for improvement.
- Introduction of innovative elements, incorporation of participant feedback, and continuous improvement in the workshop.
Requirements:
- 3+ years of experience as an Event Planner or similar role, with a track record of successfully executed events.
- Has planned multiple business or learning events spanning multiple days for 100 - 500 people
- Must be based in Las Vegas, NV
- Customer relations / guest management experience
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills; ability to articulate ideas clearly and concisely.
- Meticulous attention to detail with strong organizational and multitasking abilities.
- Ability to collaborate effectively with cross-functional teams and external partners.
- Strong problem-solving skills, with the ability to think on your feet and make quick decisions.
- Proficient in project management software.
- Experience managing and adhering to a budget
- Innovative thinker with the ability to bring fresh ideas to workshop planning.
- Upbeat attitude with the ability to work in a fast-paced environment where they will have a lot of autonomy
Salary:
- $80,000-$90,000 /year
