People Operations Manager
Onsite | Las Vegas, NV

Role:

As the People Operations Manager, you play a pivotal role in enhancing our incredible culture and creating organizational efficiency by optimizing HR processes. Your primary objective is to ensure smooth HR operations and contribute to a positive and productive work environment. Additionally, you will act as a subject matter expert (SME) to Acquisition.com’s portfolio of companies, providing expertise to growing businesses on HR-related matters such as compensation, performance management, employee relations, compliance, and regulations. 

Responsibilities:

  • Execute and improve HR processes in the following areas: employee engagement survey, performance management, culture, internal training coordination, and trusted advisor to our employees and portfolio. 
  • Manage employee data and new hire onboarding within the HRIS
  • Stay up to date with legal requirements and industry best practices, ensuring our HR policies and procedures comply with relevant regulations. Provide expert guidance to portfolio companies on HR rules and regulations.
  • Foster a positive work culture, both remotely and in-person culture by managing employee relations, addressing concerns, and promoting a collaborative atmosphere. Extend guidance to external companies as needed.
  • Oversee and develop effective performance management systems, including goal setting, performance reviews, and professional development plans, both internally and for portfolio companies.
  • Keep up to date with changing trends/compliance within the HR world. 
  • Collaborate with department heads to identify training needs, provide support, and monitor their effectiveness. Extend expertise to advise portfolio companies in their training and development initiatives.
  • Recommend initiatives to enhance employee engagement, job satisfaction, and overall organizational well-being, providing support and guidance to portfolio companies.
  • Serve as a role model for good communication, building relationships, and demonstrating our values.

  • Timely and accurate handling of critical people processes, ensuring compliance and adherence to best practices.
  • Compelling data insights that inform the leadership team of wins and opportunities for both the internal team and portfolio companies are generated and shared.
  • Calibration exists for the performance management cycle and merit increases are aligned to the annual performance review process.
  • Roll out of pulse surveys, a new performance management system and processes to the team
  • Maintain best-in-class employee engagement and retention.
  • Maintain compliance with all relevant labor laws and regulations internally and for portfolio companies.
  • Inform the CFO of risks being absorbed by the company so that the leadership team can determine the appropriate level of risk tolerance for its current growth stage.

Requirements:

  • Bachelor’s degree in Human Resources, Business Administration, or a related field. 
  • Minimum of five years in HR roles, with at least 2 years in a managerial or process ownership role  Experience providing HR expertise to external clients or portfolio companies is highly desirable.
  • Professional certifications such as SHRM-SCP or HRCI-SPHR are highly desirable.
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills with the ability to interpret data and trends.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to convey complex information in a clear and concise manner. Ability to effectively communicate HR best practices to internal and external stakeholders.
  • Proven leadership and team management skills, with a focus on fostering a collaborative and inclusive work environment.
  • Ability to thrive in a dynamic and fast-paced work environment, adapting to changing priorities and demands. Experience in managing HR functions for multiple entities is an advantage.
  • Technologically proficient in various tech stacks, including HR-related software applications.
  • Strong presentation skills and ability to interact with Acquisition team and external parties (i.e. workshop participants, portfolio companies)

SALARY:

  • $90,000 - $120,000 base 

LOCATION:

  • In-person, open to relocate to Las Vegas, NV
