Acquisition.com Scaling Workshop FAQs

 

Does Acquisition.com offer workshops?

Yes. ACQ offers workshops that are two-day events designed to provide business owners with the skills and tools to grow their businesses. These workshops are run by the Acquisition.com Advisory Practice and many of the same team members that manage Alex and Leila’s $250 million annual earning portfolio. Each day strategically provides you with impactful value, demonstrates tangible levers you should pull, and creates a clear path to solving your business-related constraints.


Our workshops include a variety of learning formats, including keynote speakers, leaders from our Advisory Practice and special guests. In addition to these incredible speakers, you can look forward to breakout sessions with Acquisition.com Advisors so that no question is left unanswered by the time you leave.


Our goal is simple: help you grow your business.

 

How do I register for a workshop?

To register for an ACQ Workshop, it is necessary to meet the minimum requirements. Our Workshop Business Consultants would love to talk to you about those requirements. Click here to get started!

 

Can I bring guests to ACQ workshops?

We’d love for you to bring a guest or team member to the workshop! To start the process, simply reach out to your Business Consultant or email us at Workshops@Acquisition.com. Please note that guests are not included in the individual ticket, and we don’t offer bundled or group discounts. Dates are subject to availability, eligibility on a first-come, first-served basis.


Tickets are issued to a specific attendee. If your plans change and a different team member needs to attend in your place, reach out to Workshops@Acquisition.com to talk through your options.

 

Where’s the workshop located?

All of our Workshop events are held on-site at our Acquisition.com headquarters located at 2960 West Sahara Avenue, Las Vegas, NV 89102.

 

Will lodging and transportation be included in my Workshop ticket purchase?

No. The purchase of your ACQ Workshop ticket only includes access to the event. We do provide refreshments and an optional breakfast and lunch each day. However, all other meals, transportation, and lodging are not included.


We recommend utilizing rideshare options to the ACQ headquarters, as parking is limited and will fill up quickly.

 

When traveling to the U.S. for a workshop, who should I list as the point of contact on my Visa Waiver application?
We recommend reaching out directly to the hotel where you’ll be staying during your visit. Hotels can typically provide the necessary point of contact information or assist with the process to ensure your application is completed accurately.

Will there be food, snacks, refreshments?
Yes. Light breakfast, lunch, and refreshments will be provided for each day of the Scaling Workshop. If you have any dietary restrictions, please contact our team at: Workshops@Acquisition.com.

What about dietary restrictions? What foods do you offer?
We've got you covered! Our buffet-styled meals offer an array of gluten-free, vegetarian, and vegan options. If you have any dietary restrictions, please contact our team at Workshops@Acquisition.com.

What time does the workshop start and end each day? 
Exact start and end times will be shared in your workshop itinerary after purchase and date selection. Doors typically open in the morning, with sessions running throughout the day into early evening. Each day of these events, our headquarters will close shortly after sessions end. We kindly request all attendees to plan their rides or exit the building by that time to allow our team to prepare the space for the next day. 


Please let us know if you have ADA seating requirements, and we will be happy to facilitate.

Where do I find my workshop itinerary?
Your workshop itinerary will be sent to the email provided at purchase before your attendance date. If you have not received any emails from the ACQ Workshop Team or information about your upcoming workshop, please contact our Workshop Concierge Team at Workshops@Acquisition.com.


How should I prepare for the workshop?
In the weeks leading up to your workshop date, you can expect to receive a specialized ACQ pre-work packet designed to help you prepare! As long as you’ve received the welcome email after purchasing your workshop ticket, no action is needed on your part to automatically receive this information. If you have not received a welcome email, please reach out to the Workshop Concierge Team at Workshops@acquisition.com.


If you need additional time to complete your pre-work due to a scheduling conflict, let the Workshop Concierge Team know and we’ll do our best to accommodate.

 

When will I receive my notes or recap from the workshop?

Following your workshop, a recap will be sent to the email you registered with. If you haven’t received yours within a reasonable amount of time after your workshop concludes, please reach out to our team at Workshops@Acquisition.com and we’ll get it sorted out.


What’s the workshop format each day? 
Each day will vary based on the ACQ Workshop you’ve selected, but the overall event will consist of speakers, Q&A, roundtables, breakout sessions, workbook activities, breakfast, lunch, and breaks. Each day is tailored to ensure you are provided with the tools and skills to grow your business.

What should I bring to the workshop? 
We recommend that attendees bring an open mind and an eagerness to learn! The ACQ Workshop team will provide pens, a workshop workbook, and name tags for easy networking. You are welcome to bring your own writing materials (however, we will provide them). Please note: we do not allow laptops or cell phones in the workshop event space to create an intimate environment optimized for learning.


Can I hire the Acquisition.com team members directly to help me scale my business? 
No. Our Acquisition.com team is not available to hire for individual project work outside of our workshops or our portfolio companies. If you’re interested in potentially becoming an Acquisition.com portfolio company, we welcome you to visit our website at https://www.acquisition.com/apply. Please understand that if you solicit or bribe our team members, you will not be invited back to any future workshops.


Can I change my workshop date?
Absolutely! Our Workshop Transfer Policy (seen in our Terms and Conditions) allows each attendee to reschedule one (1) time within six months of the original workshop purchase date. There is a $1000.00 transfer fee, and our Workshop Team would be happy to help facilitate this change. Please note that transfer requests within 72-hours of the registered workshop date will not be accepted.


Exclusions apply: Changes within 72 hours of the workshop date can only be made in the event of travel-related issues such as VISA problems, flight delays, flight cancellations, or illnesses.

 

What should I do if I'm not feeling well before my workshop?

To ensure a safe and exceptional experience for all of our clients, staff, and team members, we recommend that you stay home if you’re feeling unwell. We understand it can be disappointing to miss your scheduled workshop, but rest assured, our Workshop Concierge team is happy to help reschedule you to a later date that works for you.


If you are experiencing symptoms such as a fever or any illness within 72-hours of your workshop, please reach out to us at workshops@acquisition.com. Our team will make sure everything is taken care of so you can attend when you’re feeling your best.

 

What is your cancellation and refund policy?
If an event cancellation occurs, registered participants will receive a full refund within 60 days of said cancellation. If any event is postponed, registration for impacted attendees will transfer to the next available event date.


There are no refunds for any Acquisition.com Workshop Event purchases. Clients who purchase any ACQ Workshop event have 12 months from purchase date to attend their workshop event.

My plans changed. Can I transfer my ticket to someone else?
Possibly. Please reach out to our Workshop Concierge Team at Workshops@Acquisition.com, and they’ll be happy to walk you through the available transfer options.


Are photos, videos, computers and pictures allowed while on-site?
No. We ask that all ACQ workshop participants refrain from using their laptop computers, cell phones and other electronic devices during the workshop presentations. Please check with the Workshop Team if you have questions.


Is there a code of conduct?
Yes. Please see our Participant Conduct section in our Terms and Conditions. Participant Conduct is heavily enforced to provide each attendee with the best experience possible at the Scaling Workshop. 


What should I wear to the event?
We suggest going with nice business casual attire. You’ll be spending time with fellow business owners and entrepreneurs, so it’s always great to put your best foot forward. Just a quick tip, try to avoid anything too flashy or distracting so everyone can stay focused on the workshop experience.


Will there be a security checkpoint? 
Yes. Our Security team is here to ensure a safe environment for all guests. You will be required to pass a metal detector where your belongings will be searched for any hazardous materials, weapons, and any recording devices. Should you leave the building during the event, you will be re-checked upon entry.
